Its time to wash the yard

Its time to wash the yard
For years I have told many people to wash there yard down. That it well help the landscaping look better and get rid of a lot of bugs. How do you do this? I going to tell you my formula I well also tell you why it works.
First thing you well need is a miracle grow hose end sprayer this can be any brand but I have found that the “miracle gro” one is the easiest to find. Next you well next you will need some Lemon scented antibotics dawn. This part of the formual works because most insect do not like what is use to give the soap a lemon scent. the chemical that dawn uses to take grease away also seem to brake up the insect exoskeleton
And the antibiotic well treat any bacteria the may be on your plants. The next item you well want is some tea tree oil tea tree oil is a disinfectant and destroy a large range of microorganisms that can infecting your yard. I have also recommended that you add one or both the following. Ammonia This will give you yard some extra nitrogen and can green up the yard quickly. Also I have recommend citronella to rid the area of biting insect like mosquito.
Now that you have your shopping list
Tea tree oil
Dawn
Ammonia
Citronella oil
Miracle grow hose end sprayer
You should first fill the sprayer about half way with water next add about six drops of the tea tree oil you should be able to smell it. Next add a half a tea spoon of ammonia, a half tea spoon of citronella and a table spoon of the dawn to the mix. Attach to the end of a hose and sprayer down the yard until clean water came out. this can be done at anytime but it work best in the mornings.

Round up

Roundup is a great tool for gardener and it can and well if use right do away with weeds quickly and easily. But why what does it do? How does it work? What the best way to use it? Let take a look
Roundup works because It a type of salt the chemical name of round up is Glyphosate, isopropylamine salt. It works because the plant takes the chemical in and it inhibits a key enzyme that plants and bacteria use to make amino acids called EPSP synthase. Because the plant can not make these key amino acids it can not make the food it needs to feed itself. As a result in a few weeks or even days the plant runs out of protein and begins to starve. We see this as the leave of the plant turning black. However a small amount of roundup can result in a crawling of the leaves.
When can I use roundup?
The best time to use round up is early in the morning on a day you know it not going to rain within 4 hour. If it rain with in four hours of spraying it will wash off the chemical and the plant will not have time tot I did not want to spray if I spray a plan take it in.
What if I spar a plant that I did not want to spray? Just wash the plant with water as quickly as you can.
Well round work on every plant? No the are so type of plant like some types soybeans, corns and cottons is not effect by round up because they make a lot of the epsp synthase amino acids. Also plant like thistle who roots have been know go down as far as 20 feet are not as effect by round up.
Will round up hurt me, my pet, or the wild life in my yard? No, because we don’t use the Epsp Synthase amino acids it is only use by plants and bacteria.
Can it be too hot or cold to use roundup? Yes, the temperature should be between 60 - 85 degrees F.
Also do not use roundup if it windy. If it is too windy to throw out grass or flower seeds, it is too windy to spray round up.
What can I do to make roundup more effect?
You can add a small amount of soap to the mix this with help it stick to the plant better. Always read the label before using any chemical. Round up can be a great tool if used right.

Camellia

Camellia are great plant for the landscape. They are very easy to maintain. Put out a beautiful flower that bloom in the winter when very little is blooming. Because they are evergreen they are great for use as a screen or as a live fence around the back yard. These same plants are also what we get the leave we use to make ice tea. The flower comes in many color most are in the red shades. This is a very forgiving plant there very little you can do to hurt it the only real mistake is to prune it at the wrong time of year and the only thing that does is stop the blooming.

Soil the foundation for your garden.

Soil the foundation for your garden. Soil is what the whole thing is built on and if you want a good garden you need good soil. This mean you need to do thing like using compost doing, soil test and not using chemicals unless you really need to. The better you have soil, the better your garden, the easier your job.

catmint

Catmint or Nepeta is a nice plant that fit in very nicely with the lazy garden idea. They have a nice white, blue, pink or lilac colored flower. Very easy to take care in most case the only real care they need is to be cut to the ground in the fall remulched fertilized and leave alone until next year.

don't work too hard

I would like to start this post with the idea, how many tomatoes do you eat? maybe two a day? that would be about 600 per person a year. how many plants to you think you need for that many tomatoes? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tomato I would say if each per in your home ate one day, one plant per person in your home so that about 4 plant for the most families. This is why I have found the book "square foot gardening" by Mel Bartholomew such a useful book in his book he well teach you for to garden in an area about 4 foot by 4 foot and will teach you how to make the most of a small areas. As my blog is talking about is way to work smarter not harder this is a great way to do that.

water where is it?

it would seem that is the state of ga any way the the "drought" has come to any end and the epa say it ok to water again " http://www.atlantawatershed.org/drought/:" but i say that we would be better off and be able to workless at garden in our yards if we would pick plant that did not need as much water to began with pick the right plant for the right spot can save of water time money and alot of time will look better to

weeds again

why weeds help so helpful. first they tell us what can grow in our garden. 2nd they tell us what our soil need to grow the kind of garden we want. Think of clover tell us the the soil is low in nitrogen which is has the the symbol N and is the first number on a bag of fertilizer
onion can tell us the we need calcium. Like i have said look at your yard, you can learn a lot from your weed.

i know this is not garden

this is not gardening but i think you should watch anyway.
It is lazy to just sitting around and watch stuff on Utude and if your garden is working right you should be able to find the time to do it so.
